The Mechanic module covers everything a workshop needs: logging jobs and keeping parts stock accurate.
Logging a repair job
From Admin → Repair Jobs → New Job, attach the vehicle (a customer's car or one of your own stock), describe the work, and assign it to a staff member. Update its status as work progresses so everyone can see what's outstanding at a glance.
Parts stock
Every part lives under Admin → Parts with a running quantity. Two things move that quantity:
- Stock movements — recorded directly against a part, for deliveries, stock counts, or corrections.
- Usage on a repair job — adding a part to a job automatically deducts it from stock, so you don't have to update both places by hand.
Each change is kept as a movement record, so you can always see a part's full history — what came in, what went out, and which job it was used on.
Organising parts
Group related parts into categories (e.g. Brakes, Filters) to make the parts list easier to search as your inventory grows.
